June 2, 2008

  • The past week, Brittany, Rose, and I have been working on finishing touches, putting the clothes up, deciding if we want more decorations or not, etc...

  • On Friday (skip day) we were feeling crazy and came to school, allowing us to put everything up and to make the dress code for the middle display. We put it up and decided to make it flow with the whole "circle explosion" theme.

  • Todayyyy... we put all of the extra clothes to make the middle display into a circle.

...this didn't look so well, so we got your guidance. With that, we decided to take pictures of each a boy and a girl in school appropriate AND non-appropriate clothes to put up as a centerpiece. Tomorrow we will take the pictures, print them out, and put them up.

Hopefully by then, the display will

look 100% better, and be finished!

Today we cut out more examples that we found over the weekend. The printer is being dumb and won't print anything, so we won't be able to put anything up today. We did finish the border, but we can't put it up.

sooooooooooooooo...

The first thing we did today was take our summer appropriate

shoe border and printed it out. Brittany and Vanessa attempted

to take the current displays from the cases down, but the locks

were being dumb... so hopefully by tomorrow we'll be able to get

the display's unlocked. From what we could open, we took down

the Grease cast display and started stapling on our summer border

to see how much more of it we needed. We only need one more strip

for the summer shoes, so we'll be doing that, and all of the other borders.

All we really need to do is make our other borders, put up all of our

pictures and titles, and create our idea for the middle display...

Today's accomplishments:
1. Got paper from Mrs. Margie and Mrs. Gawlinski to use as the cut-out's backgrounds.
2. Glued models and clothes (for the non-appropriate clothes) to the red paper.
3. Cut the new cut-outs out and finished the non-appropriate examples.

Tomorrow's goals:
1. Finish titles and print them out. (made with really colorful and bright letters)
2. Start and finish the appropriate cut-outs on blue paper.
3. Work on the shoe border if there is time left.

Today we came back from the weekend and worked on cutting out the models and clothes. I believe we've finished cutting, most of it was done over the weekend... Rose also started making the titles for each board; so tomorrow we are going to go up to the boards and take off the current displays. Afterwards, we'll be able to put up our bright backgrounds.

May 9, 2008

Today we started working on cutting/printing out clothes from magazines and the internet. We've found a lot of girl's appropriate clothes, but we still need to find some more men's clothes. We each took a little bit home to work on over the weekend, so hopefully by Monday we'll be able to start putting up our circle explosion... and then work on the border a little more.

Next week we'll be putting the appropriate side of the bulletin on the left side of the bulletin, so that will be finished. Hopefully if we do a bulletin each week, we'll have time to put last minute touches by the last day of school.

Tody we took the first half of class to finish our artist trading card "fix-ups" for the Florida students, so we didn't have too much time to work on the project, but we got our heads back together, and we're planning on getting a lot more done than we've been doing.

However, for the second half of class we finally started putting all of our shoes onto the borders and are hoping to have that (or at least most of it) printed by tomorrow. We also searched for different clothes to put on the school approprate side of the bulletins.

To do list:

1. finish shoe borders, print them out, put them up.

2. print out outfits, put them up.

3. find models in school attire for the circle explosion (either in magazines or our own photos)

4. put in finishing touches (ex. paint, glitter, color...)
