June 2, 2008

  • The past week, Brittany, Rose, and I have been working on finishing touches, putting the clothes up, deciding if we want more decorations or not, etc...

  • On Friday (skip day) we were feeling crazy and came to school, allowing us to put everything up and to make the dress code for the middle display. We put it up and decided to make it flow with the whole "circle explosion" theme.

  • Todayyyy... we put all of the extra clothes to make the middle display into a circle.

...this didn't look so well, so we got your guidance. With that, we decided to take pictures of each a boy and a girl in school appropriate AND non-appropriate clothes to put up as a centerpiece. Tomorrow we will take the pictures, print them out, and put them up.

Hopefully by then, the display will

look 100% better, and be finished!

Today we cut out more examples that we found over the weekend. The printer is being dumb and won't print anything, so we won't be able to put anything up today. We did finish the border, but we can't put it up.

sooooooooooooooo...

The first thing we did today was take our summer appropriate

shoe border and printed it out. Brittany and Vanessa attempted

to take the current displays from the cases down, but the locks

were being dumb... so hopefully by tomorrow we'll be able to get

the display's unlocked. From what we could open, we took down

the Grease cast display and started stapling on our summer border

to see how much more of it we needed. We only need one more strip

for the summer shoes, so we'll be doing that, and all of the other borders.

All we really need to do is make our other borders, put up all of our

pictures and titles, and create our idea for the middle display...

Today's accomplishments:
1. Got paper from Mrs. Margie and Mrs. Gawlinski to use as the cut-out's backgrounds.
2. Glued models and clothes (for the non-appropriate clothes) to the red paper.
3. Cut the new cut-outs out and finished the non-appropriate examples.

Tomorrow's goals:
1. Finish titles and print them out. (made with really colorful and bright letters)
2. Start and finish the appropriate cut-outs on blue paper.
3. Work on the shoe border if there is time left.

Today we came back from the weekend and worked on cutting out the models and clothes. I believe we've finished cutting, most of it was done over the weekend... Rose also started making the titles for each board; so tomorrow we are going to go up to the boards and take off the current displays. Afterwards, we'll be able to put up our bright backgrounds.

May 9, 2008

Today we started working on cutting/printing out clothes from magazines and the internet. We've found a lot of girl's appropriate clothes, but we still need to find some more men's clothes. We each took a little bit home to work on over the weekend, so hopefully by Monday we'll be able to start putting up our circle explosion... and then work on the border a little more.

Next week we'll be putting the appropriate side of the bulletin on the left side of the bulletin, so that will be finished. Hopefully if we do a bulletin each week, we'll have time to put last minute touches by the last day of school.

Tody we took the first half of class to finish our artist trading card "fix-ups" for the Florida students, so we didn't have too much time to work on the project, but we got our heads back together, and we're planning on getting a lot more done than we've been doing.

However, for the second half of class we finally started putting all of our shoes onto the borders and are hoping to have that (or at least most of it) printed by tomorrow. We also searched for different clothes to put on the school approprate side of the bulletins.

To do list:

1. finish shoe borders, print them out, put them up.

2. print out outfits, put them up.

3. find models in school attire for the circle explosion (either in magazines or our own photos)

4. put in finishing touches (ex. paint, glitter, color...)

April 29, 2008

We took a break last week to make artist trading cards,
so today we are getting back on task to the bulletin board.

Ideas:

1. Shoe Border: we are going to make a border of shoes. the models of the shoes are going to make a walking effect, and each step taken will be a different pair of shoes. the background of the shoes are going to be the season changes, and the shoe in front will be the type of shoe for that season.

2. CIRCLE EXPLOSION!!@! Forrrrr the clothes, we are going to make a big swirly circle that somewhat explodes out. There will be models in clothes and different clothes represented.

3. BACKGROUND: The background will be different patterns to make the picture pop.

Display Case:

There are 3 different cases that we're going to use, so we decided that the end cases are going to be the circle explosions. One side will be the school appropriate clothing, the other will be the opposite. In the middle, we're going to put a title and a more detailed explanation of the dress code.

Today is
totallyyyY
the last day before our
mini-vacay, and we are currently taking
ideas and trying to make them into something
really great. We took pictures of the 4 of us, and
Kyndra in school appropriate/non-appropriate
clothes. For the appro. clothes we are posing
people like they are the most perfect students...
for the non appro. clothes, we made a paper bag
with a face on it to put over their heads.
On our first day back (tues.) we're going to go around the school
and get people who are willing to take pictures.

With these pictures, we hopefully will have a better ideaaaa.

until then!

Today we decided that the paper doll idea was not good. It looked pretty bad... sooo we brainstormed new ideas for the bulletin thingamabobber. We decided to change everything about our previous idea, and are not 100% sure about what we're going to do, but we have things in mind :) YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH!!!

April 15th

Today we worked on dressing the dolls, we put shoes on one, and started on another outfitt. We hot glued the clothes onto the dolls. Duh, ... Thats all as of 10:16. Now there is a stupid bomb threat, er whatever. Now we all have to leave. Exit through the front doors. ....................................................................................................................................

April 14, 2008

Today we started off by sorting the clothes into what would be considered appropriate or non-appropriate. For a test trial, we began dressing a doll in brown pants and a pink polo. So far, it looks okay and we're about to glue the piece together. Hopefully by tomorrow the material will be completely dry, and we'll add extra things such as buttons, stitches, shoes, etc... For the shoes, we are taking pictures that we took of appropriate shoes and pasting them onto the dolls since the material doesn't work as well for shoes. For now we've been thinking of hanging these dolls up, side by side, and having cutouts from magagazines and pictures that we take of appropriate and non-appropriate clothing. The picture on the left of the text is an example of appropriate shoes that will be behind the dolls in a collage. On the right, we would take the shoe and cut out the background, then print the shoe out to paste on the doll.

Today we got paper dolls and we decided to get material to make clothes for these dolls. We're going to make a school appropriate doll and a non-appropriate, and maybe some crazy ones along the way. We dressed up in indian/hippy outfits to create the mood and to help carry the material. We're going to put a picture up on Monday and start working on making the clothes.

April 10, 2008

Today we started off by brainstorming ideas to go on the bulletin... We decided that we're going to make different ideas of clothes, good and bad. We took pictures of school appropriate shoes today in front of a green screen and are going to be taking more pictures to add to our collection.
